Learn with passion to live with purpose

Mental Health and Wellbeing

At Chilton Primary School we recognise the importance of supporting children with their mental health and well-being. We work closely with children and their families by using interventions, seeking help from outside of school and training our staff so that they can support children. We are fortunate to have two teaching assistants who are trained as ELSAs (Emotional, Literacy, Support, Assistants). Mrs Young and Miss Landau work with different children across the school and provide support, guidance and resources to the staff. We also run interventions such as play therapy, friendship groups and support children who struggle to come into school in the morning with a 'soft start' lego group.

Below is a list of recommended websites that may be useful to support your children. If you would like any further information or support, please talk to your child’s class teacher initially or contact Mrs Knight.
