Chilton Primary School

Learn with passion to live with purpose

Headteacher's Welcome

Welcome to Chilton Primary School

Chilton School is a large and popular school on the outskirts of the village, set at the foot of the Berkshire Downs. The main school building was built in 2002, with a further 3 classroom extension being completed in 2018 to meet the increasing demand for places.

We are a friendly and high achieving school with a cross curricular approach to learning which allows the children to engage in imaginative and creative topics. We believe that learning is not limited to the classroom and that both children and adults learn most from the environment around them.

We are lucky enough to have extensive school grounds and we utilise these to maximise opportunities for outdoor learning.

  • We have an onsite Forest School where children are offered experiences all year round.
  • Our well-tended school allotment enables the children to grow their own fruit and vegetables.
  • Educational trips and residential visits are a fundamental part of the curriculum offer at Chilton.

By working with parents and the wider community to embed our core values (Responsibility, Respect, Resilience, Love, Courage and Aspiration) we can ensure that our children are the very best they can be, making a positive contribution to the world around them.

Thank you for taking the time to look around our website. If you are considering choosing the school for your child and would like to know more, please do get in contact to arrange a visit. We are very proud of our school and enjoy taking the time to show people around.
