Term 3 -Who should be remembered?

 Welcome back to Term 3 - We hope you had a lovely break and wish you a Happy New Year!

This term we will explore 'Who should be remembered?'.  This will be a history based topic where we will learn about three inspirational nurses: Florence Nightingale, Edith Cavell and Mary Seacole. We will be finding out about their lives and what they achieved. 

Term 2- Do Stories Shape What We Think?

This term we will explore ‘Do Stories Shape What We Think?’. This will be  a literacy based topic around Fairy Tales. In this term we will explore traditional tales and traditional tales from other cultures. We will talk about the villains and common themes and lessons in these tales. We will then turn the Fairy Tales on their heads by reading tales where the villain isn’t always who we think it is. We will use this knowledge to answer our question and challenge perceptions we have.

Term 1: Are we all connected?

This term we will explore our question 'Are we all connected?’. This is a geography based topic where we will learn what a continent and ocean is. We will be able to name the continents and oceans and find them on a world map. We will also be finding connections with the continents that the members of our class might have originated from or visited.
