Term 2 - do stories shape what we think?

This term we will explore traditional tales and tales from other cultures. We will talk about the villains and common themes and lessons in these tales. We will then turn the Fairy Tales on their heads by reading tales where the villain isn’t always who we think it is. We will use this knowledge to answer our question and challenge perceptions we have.

Term 1 - are we all connected?

This term, Key Stage 1 start the year with our enquiry question: "Are We All Connected?"

We will dive into our geography topic by discovering the world's continents and oceans, naming them and learning how to locate them using a world atlas.

Throughout our learning, we will investigate our enquiry: If the oceans separate us and the continents are so far apart, how can we possibly be connected?
