    After school club assistant

    Salary details: Grade 4, point 4: £13.05 per hours (full time equivalent £25,185)

    Job Type: Permanent

    Hours: 3pm – 6pm Monday - Thursday, 3pm – 5:30pm Friday (14 hours 30 minutes)

    Start Date: 23rd February

    Closing Date: Monday 9th February 9am

    Do you enjoy working with children? We are looking for a warm, enthusiastic, and reliable After School Club Assistant to help provide a safe, fun, and welcoming environment for our pupils at the end of the school day.

    Our after-school provision is a large, well-established club led by confident and experienced leaders. We run two clubs each day: one for younger pupils and one for older pupils, supporting children aged 4 to 11.  This role will predominantly be working with our younger pupils however the successful candidate will be expected to be able to work across both clubs.

    As part of our friendly team, your responsibilities will include:

    • Supporting the planning and delivery of fun and engaging activities, including arts and crafts and outdoor play
    • Supervising children, encouraging positive behaviour, and making sure every child feels included and supported
    • Preparing and serving snacks when needed
    • Communicating with parents and carers at collection time
    • Setting up resources and ensuring everything is tidied away at the end of each session

    We are looking for someone who:

    • Enjoys working with primary-aged children
    • Is energetic, patient, and approachable
    • Works well as part of a team
    • Is organised and able to help maintain a safe environment
    • Brings creativity and enthusiasm to after-school activities

    Experience of working with children is desirable but not essential. A positive attitude and willingness to learn are just as important. Full training will be provided, and you may be asked to attend relevant courses.
