Reception 2027 Tours and Taster Sessions

We are now welcoming families with children due to start Reception in September 2027.

Join us for a Reception Stay and Play session, Forest School experience or school tour and discover what makes Chilton such a special place to learn.

Reception Stay and Play Sessions

Children are invited to join us in the Reception classroom for a Stay and Play session while parents enjoy a 45-minute tour of the school with the Headteacher. There will also be an opportunity to meet and chat with our Reception staff.

Dates:

• Monday 28 September 2026, 1.15-2.45pm
• Wednesday 21 October 2026, 1.15-2.45pm
• Thursday 12 November 2026, 1.15-2.45pm
• Thursday 19 November 2026 1.15-2.45pm

Forest School Stay and Play Sessions

Join us in our Forest School for an outdoor learning experience. Families will join a 45-minute tour of the school with the Headteacher and then spend 1-hour together with our Forest School staff exploring activities in our woodland setting.

Dates:

• Thursday 24 September 2026, 1.30-3.15pm
• Tuesday 13 October 2026, 1.30-3.15pm

Tour only 

Join our Headteacher for a 45-minute tour of the school. All of our tours take place during school hours as we believe the best way to experience a school is to see it in action.

• Monday 5 October 2026, 2-2.45pm
• Tuesday 3 November 2026, 9.30am-10:15am
• Friday 27 November 2026, 9.30am-10:15am

Our Reception Stay and Play and Forest School sessions are intentionally small to ensure families have plenty of time to meet staff, explore the school and ask questions.

Places are limited and sessions will fill quickly, so early booking is recommended. Visiting during the school day allows you to see our children learning, meet our staff and experience the atmosphere of the school first-hand.
