TEACHING ASSISTANT VACANCY

From September 2022

Salary Grade 4/4 £19,264 FTE, £10,001 actual salary
for 22.5 hours per week

0830 – 1300, term time only.

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, talented and caring teaching assistant to join our supportive team.  You will work alongside the class teacher to provide general classroom support, work with small groups of children and give 1:1 support to children with additional needs. You will also be part of our whole school lunchtime supervision team each day.

The successful candidate must have:

• Enthusiasm to work with children.
• Experience of working with children.
• A knowledge of how to support children with additional needs.
• Ability to differentiate and support children with their learning, communication and interactions.
• The ability to follow directions will be an advantage but the person appointed will also need to think for themselves and take the initiative sometimes. 
• A sense of humour and the ability to work with others sensitively are both essentials.
• The ability to work as part of a team, building relationships with children, staff and parents.
• A passion for nurturing the emotional wellbeing of children.
• A willingness to learn on the job.
• The ability to be flexible and adaptable in your work.
