PE
The children will continue to have one taught session of PE on a Tuesday each week. We will also continue to have music and movement sessions during the week where they may need to change into PE kit. Please keep PE kits in school and we will send them home at the end of the term to be washed. Please also ensure your child has warmer PE clothes for outdoor PE sessions.
Supporting your child at home:
Daily reading: Please continue to encourage your child to read at home. We will continue to change reading books twice a week: on a Tuesday and Friday. Please ensure that books are ready to be swapped by always keeping them in your child’s book bag. Please date and comment in your child's reading book every time you read. We aim for the children to get into a routine of reading their books every night, putting them back in their book bags and placing them in the reading box when they get to school. This allows teaching staff to read with the children at school and swap the books on the necessary days.
Ten Town: Every child has access to Ten Town online at home. Please use this website to support their early numeracy and numeral formation skills.
WOW slips: Please continue to acknowledge your child’s achievements at home by filling in a WOW slip. These slips will be shared with the class and then displayed on the class WOW wall. We will send home some more WOW slips this term for you to use.
