1-1 Teaching Assistant

TEACHING ASSISTANT VACANCY

 

From 1 October 2021

Salary Grade 4 (point 4) (£18,933 pro rata, £8,523 actual salary)
for 20 hours per week

0830 – 1230, Monday-Friday, term time only.

Temporary, for one year until 31 August 2022, with possibility of permanent position.

 

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, talented and caring teaching assistant to work alongside the nursery class teacher providing 1:1 support to children with additional needs. The role also includes 30 minutes general lunch cover in the main school.

 

The successful candidate must have:

 

  • Experience of working with children.
  • A knowledge of how to support children with additional needs.
  • Ability to differentiate and support children with their learning, communication and interactions.
  • The ability to work as part of a team, building relationships with children, staff and parents.
  • A passion for nurturing the emotional wellbeing of children.
  • A willingness to learn on the job.
  • The ability to be flexible and adaptable in your work.
  • An enthusiastic and caring nature.
